Dear Lord, as we gather together, we pray that we may always remember the true meaning of the Lord’s supper. May we never forget that it is a sacred and holy act of remembrance of your sacrifice for us. Help us to approach this meal with reverence and gratitude, and may it always be a time of spiritual nourishment and communion with you. Amen.

Verse: When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.
1 Corinthians 11:20

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to assemble together properly in order to partake in the Lord’s supper.
