Dear Lord, I pray that you help me to navigate this world without falling into the trap of sexual sin, covetousness, extortion, or idolatry. I know that these things are not pleasing to you and I want to live a life that honors you. Please give me the strength and wisdom to resist temptation and to stay true to your word. Help me to be a light in this world, but also to have grace and compassion for those who are lost. Thank you for your love and guidance. Amen.
Verse: yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortionists, or with idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.
1 Corinthians 5:10
This is a Command. The verse instructs the reader not to associate with certain types of sinners, but clarifies that this does not mean they should completely isolate themselves from the world.
