Praying from 1 Corinthians 11:28. Themes: Self-examination, Communion, Remembrance

Dear Lord, as I come before you to partake in the bread and cup, I pray that you would help me to examine myself. Show me any areas of my life that need to be surrendered to you, any sins that need to be confessed, and any relationships that need to be reconciled. Help me to approach this holy sacrament with a pure heart and a contrite spirit. May I be reminded of your sacrifice on the cross and the love that you have for me. Thank you for the opportunity to partake in this sacred act of remembrance. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
1 Corinthians 11:28
