Prayer based on John 6:51. Themes: Salvation, Sacrifice, Eternal Life.

Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for being the living bread that came down from heaven. I claim the promise that if I eat of this bread, I will live forever. I believe that the bread you gave for the life of the world is your flesh. I pray that I may always hunger and thirst for you, and that I may partake of your flesh and blood through the sacrament of the Eucharist. May I be nourished by your grace and strengthened by your love, so that I may live a life that is pleasing to you. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, and for the gift of eternal life that you offer to all who believe in you. Amen.

Verse: I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
John 6:51

This is a Promise. The verse promises that whoever eats of the bread (Jesus’ flesh) will live forever.
