Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you today with humble hearts, seeking your grace and mercy. We thank you for the sacrifice you made on the cross for our sins. We pray that you help us to understand the true meaning of your words when you said, “unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don’t have life in yourselves.” We ask that you give us the strength and courage to follow your teachings and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help us to always remember your sacrifice and to honor you in all that we do. We pray this in your holy name, Amen.

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood in order to have life in themselves.
