Prayer based on Luke 18:12. Themes: Pride, Generosity, Legalism.
Dear God, I come before you humbly and with a heart full of gratitude. I thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me. I pray that you continue to guide me on the path of righteousness and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you.
Lord, I confess that I have not always been faithful in my fasting and tithing. But today, I make a commitment to you to fast twice a week and give tithes of all that I get. I pray that you give me the strength and discipline to follow through on this promise.
I pray that my fasting and tithing will be a pleasing sacrifice to you and that it will bring glory to your name. May my actions be a reflection of my love and devotion to you.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. I trust in your unfailing love and mercy. Amen.
