Dear Lord,
You once asked if we could make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them. Today, we come to you in prayer, asking for the grace to recognize your presence in our lives and to celebrate it with joy and gratitude. Help us to fast from the distractions and worries that keep us from experiencing your love and mercy. May we be filled with the joy of your presence and share it with others, becoming true friends of the bridegroom. We ask this in your holy name. Amen.
