Praying from Matthew 6:18 relating to Humility, Prayer, Reward.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heart that desires to seek you in secret. I pray that as I fast and seek your face, I will not be seen by men, but only by you. I claim the promise that you will reward me for my obedience and faithfulness to you.
Help me to keep my focus on you and not on the opinions of others. May my fasting be a pure and sincere act of worship to you, and may it bring glory to your name.
Thank you for the assurance that you see me in secret and that you will reward me openly. I trust in your faithfulness and goodness, and I pray that my fasting will draw me closer to you and deepen my relationship with you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
Matthew 6:18
This is a Promise. The promise is that if you fast in secret, your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
