Praying from Matthew 6:19 relating to Stewardship, Materialism, Trust in God.
Dear God, help me to remember that the treasures of this world are temporary and fleeting. May I not become attached to material possessions that will eventually fade away. Instead, may I focus on storing up treasures in heaven that will last for eternity. Protect me from the temptation to accumulate wealth and possessions for my own selfish gain. Help me to be generous and give to those in need, knowing that true wealth comes from serving others and following your will. Amen.
Verse: “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
Matthew 6:19
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to store up treasures on earth.
