Praying from James 5:3 relating to Judgment, Materialism, Last Days.
Dear Lord, I pray that you help me to not be consumed by the desire for material possessions. May I not be blinded by the temporary pleasures that come with wealth, but instead focus on storing up treasures in heaven. Please forgive me for any times I have placed my trust in earthly riches rather than in you. Help me to use my resources to bless others and advance your kingdom. May my heart be filled with gratitude for all that you have given me, and may I always remember that true wealth is found in knowing and serving you. Amen.
Verse: Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days.
James 5:3
This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader not to store up earthly treasures, as they will ultimately lead to destruction.
