Dear Lord, I come before you today with a humble heart and a desire to see your power at work in my life. I know that there are things in my life that need to be removed, but I also know that I cannot do it on my own. I ask that you would help me to pray and fast, so that I may draw closer to you and experience your power in my life. I know that this kind of change can only come through your strength and guidance, so I ask that you would be with me every step of the way. Help me to be disciplined in my prayer and fasting, and to trust in your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise that you will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”

This is a Command. The verse is instructing the reader to use prayer and fasting to cast out a certain kind of demon.
