Dear God, please help me to always remember that when I oppress the poor, I am showing contempt for you, my Maker. Instead, help me to be kind and generous to those in need, so that I may honor you and show your love to others. Guide me in my actions and words, and give me a heart that is open to the needs of those around me. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the opportunity to serve you by serving others. Amen.

Verse: He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him.
Proverbs 14:31
