Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. I claim this promise and trust that just as Jonah was saved from the depths of the sea, so will I be saved from the depths of sin and death through the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ. May I always remember the power of your love and the hope that it brings. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is a prophecy that Jesus will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights, just as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for the same amount of time.
