Prayer based on Luke 14:5. Themes: Compassion, Sabbath, Fatherhood.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for your unwavering love and compassion towards us. As we reflect on the verse where you asked which of us wouldn’t immediately pull our son or an ox out of a well on a Sabbath day, we are reminded of your mercy and grace.
We pray that you help us to always prioritize the needs of others, especially in times of distress. May we never be too caught up in our own routines or traditions to extend a helping hand to those in need.
We ask for your guidance and wisdom to discern when to break the rules for the sake of love and compassion. May we always be a reflection of your love and kindness towards others.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
