Dear Lord, as I read your word, I claim the promise that when I read it, I will rejoice over the encouragement it brings. May your word fill me with hope, joy, and peace, and may I find comfort in your promises. Thank you for the encouragement that your word brings, and may it strengthen me in my faith and walk with you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
Acts 15:31
This is a Promise. The verse is describing the reaction of the readers to a letter, which brought them encouragement and caused them to rejoice. There is no explicit command given to the reader.
