Praying from Matthew 12:11. Themes: Compassion, Sabbath, Care for Animals.
Dear Lord,
You said to us, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it and lift it out?”
May we have the same compassion and care for those who are in need, even on the Sabbath day. Help us to be willing to go out of our way to help those who have fallen into a pit, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual.
May we be your hands and feet, lifting up those who are struggling and showing them your love and grace.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
