Dear Lord, I claim the promise that just as the man was immediately made well and able to walk, you can heal me from any affliction that I may be facing. I trust in your power and love to bring restoration and wholeness to my body, mind, and spirit. May I also have the faith and courage to take up my mat and walk in the path that you have set before me. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the gift of Sabbath rest that reminds me of your goodness and faithfulness. Amen.

Verse: Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked. Now that day was a Sabbath.
John 5:9

This is a Promise. The verse describes the immediate healing of a man on the Sabbath day. There is no command given to the reader.
