Dear Lord, we come before you with a question that has troubled us for a long time. Just as the people asked Jesus why Moses commanded them to give a certificate of divorce, we too seek your guidance and wisdom on this matter. Help us to understand your will and purpose for marriage and divorce. May we always seek to honor you in our relationships and follow your commands. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
