Prayer based on Mark 7:15. Themes: Defilement, Inner purity, Outward actions.
Dear God, help me to remember that it is not what enters my body from the outside that defiles me, but rather the things that come from within me. Please guide me to be mindful of my thoughts, words, and actions, and to always strive to act with kindness, compassion, and love. May I be a vessel of your grace and goodness, and may my heart be pure and free from all that defiles. Amen.
Verse: There is nothing from outside of the man that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.
Mark 7:15
This is a Command. The verse instructs the reader that external things cannot defile them, but rather it is their own actions and thoughts that can defile them.
