Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that all foods are made clean because they do not go into our hearts but into our stomachs and then into the latrine. I claim this promise over my life and ask that you help me to always remember that what I eat does not defile me. May I always honor you with my body and my choices, and may I never be led astray by false teachings or beliefs. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the freedom we have in Christ. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that all foods are clean and will not defile a person, as they are processed through the body.
