Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for reminding us that our physical needs are not the only things that sustain us. Help us to remember that we also need your word to nourish our souls and guide us in our daily lives. May we seek your wisdom and truth in all that we do, and may your word be a constant source of strength and comfort to us. Amen.

Verse: Jesus answered him, saying,“It is written, ‘ Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
Luke 4:4

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not rely solely on physical sustenance (bread) but to also rely on the teachings and guidance of God.
