Prayer based on Luke 4:6. Themes: Temptation, Authority, Power

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today claiming the promise that all authority and glory has been delivered to you. I know that the devil may try to deceive me and offer me temporary power, but I trust in your promise that you give authority to whomever you want.

I pray that you would grant me the strength and wisdom to resist the temptations of the devil and to always seek your will above all else. Help me to remember that true authority and glory come from you alone, and that I can trust in your promises to provide for me.

Thank you for your love and faithfulness, and for the assurance that you are always with me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I want.
Luke 4:6

This is a Promise. The devil promises to give authority and glory to whomever he wants.
