Praying from Luke 15:30. Themes: Forgiveness, Redemption, Love

Father God, I come before you today claiming the promise that you are a loving and forgiving God. Just as the father in the parable welcomed back his prodigal son with open arms, I know that you will welcome me back into your loving embrace. Despite my past mistakes and shortcomings, I trust in your mercy and grace to forgive me and restore me to your family. Thank you for your unconditional love and for always being there for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’
Luke 15:30

This is a Promise. The verse is a summary of the father’s actions upon the return of his prodigal son. It promises that the father will celebrate and show love and forgiveness to his son, despite his past mistakes.
