Dear God, I come before you humbly and acknowledge that I am not worthy to be called your child. I have made mistakes and fallen short of your expectations. Please forgive me for my shortcomings and help me to become a better person. I ask that you make me as one of your hired servants, so that I may serve you with all my heart and soul. Help me to be obedient to your will and to follow your path for my life. Thank you for your love and mercy. Amen.
Verse: I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’
Luke 15:19
This is a Command. The verse is a plea from the prodigal son to his father to be made a hired servant instead of being completely disowned. The command is for the father to consider the son’s request.
