Prayer based on Matthew 22:8. Themes: Rejection, Worthiness, Invitation

Dear Lord,

As we come before you today, we are reminded of the parable of the wedding feast. We acknowledge that we are not always worthy of your invitation, but we thank you for your grace and mercy that allows us to come before you.

We pray that you would help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you. May we always be mindful of your love and grace, and may we never take it for granted.

We ask that you would prepare our hearts for the wedding feast that is to come. May we be ready and willing to accept your invitation, and may we never be found unworthy.

Thank you for your love and faithfulness, and for the many blessings that you have bestowed upon us. We pray all these things in your holy name.

Amen.

Verse: “Then he said to his servants, ‘ The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
Matthew 22:8

This is a Command. The servants are being instructed to inform those who were invited to the wedding that they are not worthy to attend.
