Praying from Luke 15:27. Themes: Reconciliation, Forgiveness, Celebration.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the promise that you receive us back safe and healthy. Just as the father in the parable welcomed his lost son with open arms and celebrated his return, I pray that you would welcome me back into your loving embrace. Help me to trust in your promise and to know that no matter how far I may stray, you are always waiting for me with open arms. Thank you for your unconditional love and for the sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ, who made it possible for me to be reconciled to you. May I always remember your promise and live my life in a way that honors you.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: He said to him, ‘ Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’
Luke 15:27

This is a Promise. The verse is a summary of the father’s actions upon the return of the prodigal son, indicating that the father has received him back safe and healthy and has celebrated his return with a feast.
