Prayer based on Luke 10:21. Themes: Thankfulness, Humility, Revelation

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and joy. Just as Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, I too rejoice in the knowledge that you have hidden the mysteries of your kingdom from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children.

I claim this promise today, knowing that you have chosen to reveal your truth to me. I thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the gift of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ.

May I always have the heart of a child, eager to learn and grow in my faith. Help me to trust in your wisdom and understanding, and to follow your will for my life.

Thank you, Father, for your love and faithfulness. May my life be a reflection of your goodness and grace.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: In that same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said,“I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
Luke 10:21

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of gratitude from Jesus to God for revealing things to those who are like little children, rather than only to the wise and understanding. There is no command given to the reader.
