Heavenly Father, I come before you today claiming the promise in your word that if I ask, you will give me the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I am not worthy of your love and grace. But I also know that you are a good Father who loves to give good gifts to your children. So I ask you today to fill me with your Holy Spirit, to guide me, to comfort me, and to empower me to live a life that honors you. I trust in your promise and I thank you for your love and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
