Praying from Luke 15:20. Themes: Forgiveness, Redemption, Love
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for the promise that you see me even when I am far off. Just as the father in the parable saw his son and was moved with compassion, I know that you see me and are filled with love and mercy towards me.
I claim the promise that you will run towards me, embrace me, and shower me with your love and forgiveness. I know that no matter how far I may have strayed, you are always waiting for me with open arms.
Thank you for your unending grace and compassion. I pray that I may always turn towards you and seek your love and forgiveness.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: “He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luke 15:20
This is a Promise. The father in the parable is moved with compassion and runs to embrace his son who has returned home. This can be seen as a promise of God’s love and forgiveness for those who repent and turn back to Him.
