Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have given us in John 16:6-7, that the Holy Spirit will come and guide us into all truth. I claim this promise today and ask that you fill my heart with joy and peace, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. I pray that the truth of your word would bring comfort and hope to my heart, and that I would not be overcome by sorrow or fear. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

John 16:6

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement by Jesus acknowledging that his disciples are feeling sorrowful after he has told them certain things. There is no command given in this verse.
