Prayer based on John 16:20. Themes: Sorrow, Joy, Rejoicing.

Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have given us in John 16:20. I claim this promise today and ask that you help me to remember it in times of weeping and lamenting. I know that the world may rejoice in my sorrow, but I trust in you to turn my sorrow into joy. Help me to hold onto this promise and to find comfort in your love and grace. Thank you for always being with me and for giving me hope in the midst of difficult times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
John 16:20

This is a Promise. The verse promises that although the reader will experience sorrow and lamentation, their sorrow will eventually be turned into joy.
