Praying from Hebrews 9:17 relating to Death, Will, Inheritance
Father God, I thank you for the promise that a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives. I claim this promise over my life and the lives of my loved ones. I trust that your will for our lives will be fulfilled, even in the midst of death. I pray that we will live our lives in accordance with your will, so that when the time comes, your will for us will be carried out. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the assurance that your plans for us are good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is explaining the principle that a will only goes into effect after the death of the person who made it.
