Praying from 2 Corinthians 1:6. Themes: Affliction, Comfort, Salvation

Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that if we are afflicted, it is for the comfort and salvation of others. I pray that in my times of suffering, you would use it to bring comfort and salvation to those around me. And when I am comforted, may it also bring comfort to others, producing in them the patient enduring of the same sufferings that I have endured. Help me to trust in your plan and purpose for my life, even in the midst of trials and difficulties. Thank you for the hope and comfort that comes from knowing that our suffering is not in vain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
2 Corinthians 1:6

This is a Promise. The verse promises that any affliction or comfort experienced by the reader is ultimately for their comfort and salvation, and will produce patient endurance of suffering.
