Dear God, thank you for being the one who comforts us in all our afflictions. We claim the promise that you will provide us with the comfort we need to be able to comfort others who are going through any affliction. We trust that the comfort we receive from you will enable us to be a source of hope and encouragement to those around us. Help us to be sensitive to the needs of others and to share your love and comfort with them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:4
This is a Promise. The verse promises that God will comfort us in all our afflictions so that we may be able to comfort others who are also afflicted, using the comfort we received from God.
