Praying from 1 Corinthians 7:4. Themes: Marriage, Equality, Mutual Submission.
Dear God, we come before you today with humble hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom in our relationships. Help us to understand that we are not our own, but belong to one another in marriage. May we always remember that the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does, and likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. May we honor and respect one another’s bodies, and always seek to serve and love each other as you have called us to do. We pray for your grace and strength to help us live out this truth in our marriages. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
1 Corinthians 7:4
This is a Command. The verse commands that the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does, and likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
