Dear God, we pray for the marriages that are struggling and facing the possibility of separation. Help us to remember your words that if a wife departs, she should remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband, and that a husband should not leave his wife. We ask for your guidance and wisdom to help these couples work through their differences and find a way to reconcile. May they be filled with your love and grace, and may their marriages be strengthened and restored. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is a Command. The verse instructs a wife who departs from her husband to remain unmarried or reconcile with her husband, and instructs the husband not to leave his wife.
