Praying from 1 Corinthians 7:30. Themes: Suffering, detachment, humility.
Dear God, help me to approach life with a sense of detachment. May I not be consumed by my sorrows or overly attached to my joys. Help me to remember that all things are temporary and that true joy comes from you alone. May I be content with what I have and not be consumed by the desire to possess more. Amen.
Verse: and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess;
