Praying from 1 Corinthians 12:13. Themes: Unity, Baptism, Diversity

Dear Lord,

I come before you with a heart of submission, acknowledging that in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free. I thank you for the promise that we were all given to drink into one Spirit.

I claim this promise for myself and for all those around me. May we be united in your Spirit, regardless of our differences. May we be filled with your love and grace, and may we be empowered to live out your will in our lives.

I pray that you would help us to embrace one another with open hearts and minds, and to work together for the good of your kingdom. May we be a shining example of your love and unity to the world around us.

Thank you for the gift of your Spirit, and for the promise that we are all one in you. May we live out this truth in our lives each and every day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
