Prayer based on Mark 9:31. Themes: Sacrifice, Resurrection, Betrayal.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the promise that you have given us through your teachings. You have said that the Son of Man will be handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him. But you have also promised that on the third day, he will rise again.

I claim this promise today, Lord. I believe that you are faithful to your word, and that you will fulfill this promise in my life. Help me to trust in you, even when things seem impossible. Help me to remember that you are always with me, and that you have the power to overcome even death.

Thank you for your love and your grace. Thank you for the sacrifice that you made for me on the cross. I pray that I may live my life in a way that honors you, and that I may always remember the promise of your resurrection.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
