Dear Lord, as we gather before you today, we ask for your guidance and wisdom. Help us to understand the true meaning of humility and service. Teach us to put others before ourselves and to serve them with love and compassion. May we always remember your words, that if any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all. Help us to follow your example of selflessness and to live a life that is pleasing to you. We pray this in your holy name. Amen.
Verse: He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them,“If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to be the servant of all if they want to be first.
