Praying from Romans 7:11. Themes: Sin, Deception, Commandment
Dear God, I confess that sin has found occasion through the commandment and deceived me, leading to my spiritual death. I pray for your forgiveness and guidance to overcome the temptations of sin. Help me to understand your commandments and follow them with a pure heart. Protect me from the deceitful ways of sin and lead me towards righteousness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
Romans 7:11
This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader about the danger of sin using the commandment as an opportunity to deceive and ultimately lead to death. The command is to be aware of this deception and avoid falling into sin.
