Prayer based on Psalms 97:7. Themes: Idolatry, Worship, Shame
Dear God, we pray that all those who serve engraved images and boast in their idols be shamed and turn to you. May they realize the futility of their worship and come to worship you, the one true God. We also pray that all the gods of this world bow down and worship you, acknowledging your sovereignty and power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!
Psalms 97:7
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to worship God and not idols, and to shame those who do worship idols.
