Dear God, we come before you humbly and acknowledge that we have sinned and fallen short of your glory. We know that your anger and wrath are just, but we also know that you are a God of love and mercy. We claim the promise of your love and mercy, and we ask that you would forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to turn away from our sinful ways and to walk in your ways. May your love and mercy be our guide, and may we always seek to honor and glorify you in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.
Psalms 90:7

This is a Promise. The verse is expressing the speaker’s belief that they are experiencing God’s anger and wrath. There is no command given to the reader.
