Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you are merciful and forgiving. Just as you forgave the iniquities of your people in the past and did not destroy them, I pray that you will also forgive my sins and shortcomings. I thank you for turning your anger away from me and not stirring up your wrath. Help me to always remember your mercy and to live a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn’t destroy them.Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn’t stir up all his wrath.

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that God is merciful and forgives iniquity, and has turned away his anger many times without stirring up all his wrath.
