Prayer based on Psalms 78:39. Themes: Fragility, Mortality, Impermanence.

Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you remember that we are but flesh, a wind that passes away, and doesn’t come again. I claim this promise today and ask that you help me to remember my own mortality and the fleeting nature of life. May I live each day with purpose and intention, seeking to honor you and make a difference in the world. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the assurance that you are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and doesn’t come again.
Psalms 78:39

This is a Promise. The verse is a reminder that humans are mortal and temporary, and serves as a promise that God will remember and have compassion on our fleeting existence.
