Dear Lord, in the day of my trouble, I seek You with all my heart. I stretch out my hand to You in the night, and I know that You will not tire of hearing my cries. I claim the promise that You will be with me always, and that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Even when my soul refuses to be comforted, I trust in Your unfailing love and mercy. Thank You for being my refuge and strength, and for always being there for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
Psalms 77:2

This is a Promise. The verse describes the speaker’s experience of seeking the Lord in their time of trouble and refusing to be comforted by anything else. There is no explicit command given to the reader.
