Prayer based on Psalms 54:3. Themes: Persecution, Violence, God’s Protection.

Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heavy heart, for strangers have risen up against me and violent men have sought after my soul. But I claim the promise that you have given us in Psalm 54:4, that you are my helper and the sustainer of my life. I trust in you, Lord, to protect me from those who seek to harm me and to guide me on the path of righteousness. I declare that I will not fear, for you are with me always. I thank you for your unfailing love and for the promise that you have set before us, that those who seek after you will find you. I pray that those who have risen up against me will come to know you and set you before them. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For strangers have risen up against me.Violent men have sought after my soul. They haven’t set God before them.
Psalms 54:3

This is a Promise. The verse describes the psalmist’s situation of being pursued by violent men, but ends with the promise that those men have not set God before them. This implies that God will protect the psalmist from harm.
