Dear God, I come to you today claiming the promise that you are a father to the fatherless and a defender of the widows. I thank you for your holy habitation and for the love and protection that you provide to those who are in need. I pray that you would continue to be a source of comfort and strength to those who have lost their fathers and husbands. May they feel your presence and know that they are not alone. I also pray that you would give us the courage and compassion to be your hands and feet in this world, reaching out to those who are hurting and in need of your love. Thank you for being our faithful and loving Father. Amen.
