Praying from 1 Timothy 5:16 relating to Compassion, Responsibility, Community
Dear Lord, we come before you today with grateful hearts for the gift of faith that you have given us. We pray that if any man or woman who believes has widows, they may be able to relieve them and not burden the assembly. We ask that you provide the necessary resources and strength to those who are willing to help those who are widows indeed. May your love and compassion be evident in our actions towards those in need. We pray for your guidance and wisdom as we seek to serve and care for those who are vulnerable. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.
1 Timothy 5:16
This is a Command. The verse commands believers to relieve their widows and not burden the assembly, so that those who are truly widowed can be helped.
