Praying from Psalms 144:4. Themes: Fleetingness, Mortality, Impermanence.
Dear Lord,
I come before you today, humbled by the truth that man is like a breath and our days are like a shadow that passes away. But I claim the promise that you have given us, that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Your love and mercy endure forever, and you are faithful to your promises.
I pray that you help me to live each day with purpose and intention, knowing that my time on this earth is fleeting. May I use my breath to speak words of kindness and love, and may my shadow leave a positive impact on those around me.
Thank you for the promise that you are with us always, even until the end of the age. May I trust in your unfailing love and find comfort in the knowledge that you hold my days in your hands.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: Man is like a breath. His days are like a shadow that passes away.
Psalms 144:4
This is a Promise. The verse is a reminder that human life is fleeting and temporary, like a breath or a passing shadow. It does not contain a specific command for the reader to follow.
